Linda Davis is over our operations in the Roanoke Rapids area near Weldon, NC, which we established back in 2008. She was an intricate part in obtaining and maintaining our new clients, and has served as our liaison with the case coordinators, guardians, and workers there. Running the office is very challenging; it’s in a rural location where everyone is spread out, and it requires a great deal of patient attention to ensure each day’s objectives are understood and implemented. Yet, Linda handles it all with diligence and grace.
Her commitment to those she serves, those she works with, and her professionalism, are immense. Even after experiencing several losses in her family and enduring her own health crises, she’s continued to fulfill her responsibilities without a hitch. “She never lost her stride, which was astounding,” says WesCare Clinical Director/Owner Akinyele “AK” Igunmuwiya. “If you ever want to build a company, starting from the ground up, Linda’s the kind of person you want to have on your team.”
We are thankful for all that Linda has contributed to our growth as a company. Her accomplishments have enabled us to extend our services to even more in need in the greater community, and for that we are grateful.
Raven advocates on behalf of each and every client entrusted in his care. He helps them find jobs and reach Day Supports goals. He also assists them to and from appointments and volunteer sites, and aids with general everyday living. He’s always there to offer support along the way, even taking time to find different community resources available to his clients, and participating in special outings with them—like going to a movie, cookout, or sporting event—outside of work hours.
June 19th marked the tenth year of exemplary service for WesCare team member Yalonda Parker. Over the course of her time here with us, Yalonda has worked in several positions and with every population we serve, from adults to adolescents. She started as a one-on-one contract worker providing part-time periodic work. She was then moved into a residential facility as a Qualified Professional (QP) and eventually became the program director.
