“I am writing regarding a client that has been in WesCare homes both in Greensboro and Rural Hall. This client has received tremendous benefits from these programs. The parents and professional staff working with the client have all raved about the program and the success demonstrated by the client. WesCare works in a full team approach and typical team meetings include multiple members of the agency in participation. All staff from the QP to the residential counselors are very knowledgeable about the clients. WesCare has also been very open to feedback and has worked with Murdoch Center to revamp point systems and other behavior modification programs when recommended. Staff goes above and beyond to assist with clients’ and families’ needs. Staff assists with transportation to and from home visits if transportation and/or distance is a problem.”A. “We have several students who attend our school that live at WesCare group homes. Ms. Valorie Enoch is the primary contact person for our school system. She comes to scheduled meetings and attempts to make arrangements with parents/guardians so that they can be present as well. When we have a crisis with one of her clients, she is able to be accessed by phone and give instructions. The direct group home staff are accessible for any crisis that may arise. They seem to genuinely care about their clients.”Jennifer HankinsEC Department, Morehead High School
“My name is Zakiyyah Jones, psychologist with Compassionate Care of North Carolina. I am writing to express my experiences with WesCare, particularly Kendra Mathews. I have collaborated with this agency in the capacity of case manager and psychologist over a number of years. Their professionalism and person-centered approach to the care of their consumers has been exceptional. Kendra works well in multiple team settings and maintains the customer’s needs as her primary objective. I enjoy working with her on the cases we have together.”Zakiyyah JonesPsychologist, Compassionate Care of North Carolina
“Before my brother came to WesCare, he was hospitalized many times for one sickness or another. He was also depressed very badly. He was not in any program that would get him out of the home so he was never happy. Since coming to WesCare my brother has not been hospitalized once. His depression is now under control. He is in a day program that gets him out in the public to a volunteer job. The team of professional staff working with him to make all this possible has improved his life and he is a happy and thriving person.”Deborah McCall GraceSister
“For the past 4 years our son has been in and out of multiple group homes, therapeutic homes, and has had more than 70 hospitalizations for his behavior. There have been so many positive changes in our son We’ve never seen this kind of progress from other facility’s he has resided in. Every one of these changes have been for the better. He is much calmer, patient. His fits of rage have subsided to almost nil. he Is much more confident in himself, he is more helpful, his priorities are in order now, and his grades In school have risen to an all-time high.”Mr. & Mrs. HParents
“I am a mother of a 15-year-old son. He has been institutionalized five times for behaviors and severe self-injurious behaviors. We as a family are very strong and we have been trying to find placement in the group home setting for three-and-a-half years. Until recently, we came across WesCare Professional Services and from the beginning they were very welcoming. Valorie, the qualified professional, was so engaging and made us feel like my son could be a part of a group home that really cares. If you’re looking and seeking placement, it doesn’t have to be unnerving anymore. Call WesCare Professional Services where help and compassion were my experience and can be yours also.”Bridgette LawrenceParent
“Yalonda Parker, as well as WesCare in general, has been a critical part of our daughter Tori’s adjustment to living in the community. She has been very attentive to Tori’s needs and is always open to input regarding Tori’s continuing development of life skills. I totally trust WesCare to ensure that Tori has a safe living environment; consistent health care; and socially, educationally, and vocationally-enriching activities.”Carol JonesParent
“I keep a running list of providers in the state of North Carolina that I rely on to serve individuals with high profile and intense needs especially dual diagnosed individuals (mental illness coupled with developmental delays and/or autism). WesCare is towards the top of that list! For years I have relied on the services and assistance from WesCare and have directed parents, MCO representatives, and other community agencies to inquire about placement and in-home supports with them.”Timothy O'TooleSocial Worker, NC Department of Health and Human Services
“There is a young woman by the name of Shauna who works for WesCare Professional Services, and she is an angel to me and my son’s life. She was placed in our lives when my son, who has autism and sensory processing disorder, needed a one-on-one aid in his classroom to complete his instructional day. With no hesitation, she quickly learned my son’s needs along with implementing positive behavior for his success. She worked with him for over seven months and the change in his ability to focus and participate in class was amazing. She knew how to challenge him to be greater than others perceive him to be. Thank you so much for your support and love.”JanaMom Advocate
